| Product description | tetrahydropyran (English: tetrahydro Pyran), is a six-membered oxygen-containing saturated heterocyclic, colorless flammable liquid at room temperature, a special odor. Miscible in water, ethanol, ether, and other organic solvents. The formation of explosive organic peroxides under light. Prepared by hydrogenation of dihydropyran in the presence of Raney nickel or reaction of 1, 5-dibromopentane with water under the action of zinc oxide. It is mainly used as a solvent for nitro spray paint, rubber and Grignard reaction. Tetrahydropyran ring-containing substances are present in many natural products.
